Endless Loop of Identity Verification

So I'm in and endless loop of identity verification.

I have a few quid from selling some unwanted items on eBay.

To take the money out of my sellers account, I need to upload some photo ID with my name on it.

So I do this and ebay then replies that it is verifying this ID.

Then a few hours later, I get another message that my payments are on hold until I upload photo id.

So I upload the photo id again.

And so it repeats and has done this for the last 20 days.

There is no feedback, just go round again and again.

So what is going on?

What is going on is the same everywhere asset stripping, employee stripping, all the so called convenience and 'efficiency' is entirely for them and not us, less for more.

Hi greentyphoon, thanks for your post.

There are a couple of reasons as to why an ID wouldn't pass verification, but in your case it sounds like the photo you're updating might not be valid, this can happen due to the picture of the ID (front and back) not being clear enough or not readable, it can happen as well due to the document not being shown in full. For example, if you are using a license, and you cut off one of the corners of the license in the picture front or back, that will void that picture, this could also happen with a passport. Also, you want to be careful with shadows and things like that. And lastly, you need to make sure that the info on your ID is matching the info you have on your eBay account. Please note that screenshots or photos of a photo wouldn't be valid, so make sure to take a brand new photo.

If you think you did all this already, but you are still getting errors, I would suggest contacting customer service here, so they can see what's wrong with it exactly for you and tell you how to fix it.
