simple delivery ? really ??

I suspect there are other private sellers who are just as confused and annoyed by the new SIMPLE !! delivery . I have been selling on Ebay for 14 years weighing and measuring my sold items then either taking to the PO or having them collected by my postie. However after the 20th May this no longer acceptable to Ebay. I think private sellers should have the option to opt out of the new system. Why

1 the postage is taken from the selling price immediately and seems to always be £2.70. How is that calculated when most of my items will post for the actual cost of either £1.55 or 87p !! Where does the excess postage payment go ??

2 At the mement I have no working printer nor do I have a smart phone so I am unable to either print their label or scan a QR code. I have been assured by Ebay that the cost of unused labels is auto refunded after 14 days ( Yes I know GPO will bring a label if needed but how does one avoid paying for 2 labels - 1 to Ebay, 1 to GPO

3 When Ebay offered no fees for sales I knew something was afoot. The ridiculous cost of the labels is MORE than a fee plus real postage cost !!

4 Cannot find out how to edit postage labels  back to true postal costs for things which post below £2.70

5 Similarly I cannot find out how I edit postage labels when the odd item I have will cost more than said £2.70

I have carefully read all the info and been in touch with customer services but am no wiser.

Can anyone help with any of my points in SIMPLE language. Thanks Gail.

Only items under 100gms and up to £10 are exempt from this ebay money making scheme.

When all the glitches happen, the the whole system will come to a halt.

As you say SIMPLE is not simple and so many things are causing sellers to be out of pocket. The option to use Advanced postage only applies as above.

Even ebay should realise that ADVANCED means far superior to SIMPLE.
