Everytime I press checkout to an item from this seller this error message pops up:

"It looks like items from this seller currently aren't available for purchase. We recommend that you search for similar items from other sellers.

Is this an issue with the seller or me? How can this be fixed?

We do not know what you are looking at so difficult to comment, but it could be as simple that seller is out of stock, in which case it should tell you this on the listing, with numbers available showing as 0
