You are using simple delivery.

Buyer pays for postage, you get link to print label.

If you buy your own postage, money comes out of your pocket.

If ebay label not used, buyer gets refund.

Why did you not use supplied label?

Re: payout issue

Your item was sold with Simple Delivery on it which means the buyer pays ebay for the postage and you use the pre-paid label.    If you bought postage separate to that you will have paid for it yourself.   The buyer will get a refund for the unused SD label.

Re: payout issue

As from yesterday, all private sellers are opted in to simple delivery.

Re: payout issue

The buyer gets a refund for the postage they paid but you didn't use.   You bought extra postage that you didn't need and not through ebay so there is no refund due to you.   But lots of people are making similar mistakes due to the sudden changeover to Simple Delivery.

No, the buyer gets a refund for the postage . They paid,  you did not pay for the eBay label .  You did not use eBay's pre paid label,  but chose to pay for  the postage  label yourself.

You receive the item price... £15.00 It sold for £16.31,  £1.31 was the Buyer Protection Fee.

Re: payout issue

Hello,

Many thanks for your prompt reply, a previous e bay mentor has mentioned
simple delivery but to be totally honest i don't understand what it all
means or
how it works.

What i do know is that i am not able to pre-print anything, i don't own a
printer
so i can't do anything like that. It seems that e-bay now only want
business
sellers and i am not in that category.

I use e-bay to sell on a few items i no longer need which is what e-bay was
initially set up to do for people like me, and at nearly eighty years old i
find
it all very confusing and don't understand much of what changes.

And so it seems i have lost out in this instance but thanks for your help
anyway.

regards..
