I had paid for the item including postage. The seller messaged that the item was too heavy for the courier. I cannot understand why this excuse was accepted by Ebay as I have lived at this address for 5 years and there is nothing wrong with this address.

The seller agreed to deliver the item. A time was suggested. Then my internet failed did afternoon Sunday 3/11/25. On reconnection there was a message to say the sale had been cancelled. The item was relisted but with collection only. The seller still agreed to deliver on Thursday 6-11-25 but I would have to pay again but with collection only.

I had suggested I could pay either by Ebay or cash, which implied that I would pay when item was delivered.

The seller has messaged me to advise" to pay quickly. This makes me worried that if I pay and do not collect I may have a problem.

If they listed as collection only they obviously decided to stick with that.   They used that reason to cancel as the problem with your address is you are too far away to collect in person.   The reasons to cancel offered by ebay don't cover enough scenarios so sellers have to pick the nearest.

Please read again: The item was for sale with postage. I paid the postage.
After I had paid the seller messaged to say the item was too heavy for the
courier so the seller offered to deliver the item personally. I thought we
had agreed a time and I gave directions but mid Sunday afternoon 3/11/25 my
internet connection failed. When it was restored I read that the order had
been cancelled. The seller messaged to say they had received my phone
number but I received neither call or text.

The reason on Ebay is : Cancellation reason: Issue with buyer's delivery
address.

I have had this address for since 2020. If necesary I would challenge this
action as there is no proof that there is an issue with my address. My
apartment is part of a complex dating back more than 100 years and it has
its own postcode. I have had many items delivered successfully and some
collected via Ebay/Royal Mail.

There are is a current issue with EVRI delivering an Ebay purchase to a
wrong adress. The item in question was NOT to be delivered by Evri.

I had offered to pay on delivery via Ebay or cash which by that inclusion
implied I would pay on delivery. The seller has offered to deliver on
Thursday 6/11/25.

The item is now listed as collection only. If I pay AGAIN I risk losing as
I cannot collect which is the reason I chose the item WITH POSTAGE. In that
situation the seller would perhaps be justified in retaining any payment.

I found the form confusing as it was not accepted due to a "label" issue
that was not explained. I may have deleted some thing in the text.
