I'm trying to list items that are letter-size and under 100gsm and items that I would normally send for the cost of a 2nd class stamp. I thought and understood that I would have the option of opting out of Simple Delivery for these items that match the criteria needed yet there is no option appearing and eBay wants me to send these items at £2.72!! Can anyone please advise?

Other sellers are having problems with this. Check your sub-category is eligible in FAQs on here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sellercentre/postage/simple-delivery?targetgroup=C2C
click on "Which listings aren't required to use Simple Delivery?"

Do you not get this screen?
Selecting SWITCH TO ADVANCED OPTION under the coloured EBAY, and confirming on the next screen.

Hi John
Yes this is the screen I used to have with the option to switch but starting today it now doesn't offer me the option under the coloured eBay logo to switch?? I have tried to use the 'sell a similar item' tab which previously had the custom delivery price but now I have a blue banner at the top of the screen saying 'This listing has been updated to be posted with Simple Delivery' and also gives me a tab saying 'see delivery options' and the options it gives me are all SD at £2.72. The item I'm selling is a quilt pattern which literally is 2 folded A4 sheets!!
