i sold a item untested spares repairs may not work   and a buyer has opened a case saying item doesnt work why have ebay allowed this none english named person to open a case for not working when it clear has been sold as not working   why even bother listing a item in this way if people can still open a case *bleep* is wrong with england

It happens,so best send a prepaid return label and refund within 3 days of getting the item back to avoid a defect on your account from ebay, and possibly loosing the item if you refuse and ebay stepping in
