item not fit for purpose

i bought some power tool batteries and they have only lasted around four re-charges and are now totally dead, on the listing it says there is a five year warranty on them, i have messaged the seller twice with no answer, what do i do next ?    thanks,  Harry

EBay does not get involved with warranties I'm afraid.  

The benefit of a warranty is only as good as the ability to enforce it.  

It is often very difficult online as there is no fixed "shop" that you could go into.  If it is a famous make then the manufacturer may help but the onus is on your seller
