I've been buying on eBay without any postage problems to the channel Islands for 20 years now all of a sudden the channel Islands have been excluded from eBay's simple postage system meaning we cannot complete any purchases which is covered by this so called simple postage and the ironic thing is that none of the sellers I've spoken to knows anything about it especially when a notification in big red letters stating "THE SELLER WILL NOT POST TO YOUR LOCATION CHANGE YOUR ADDRESS" it is not the seller it is EBAY and Thier postage system that the sellers have been forced to sign up to that is refusing to include the channel Islands
This is very short sighted of eBay and very disrespectful of channel Islands customers
We live on a few rocks in the middle of the channel have limited shops and rely upon the services of on-line shopping can't imagine what would happen if Amazon done that to us
And this tantermount to dictating to us what we can or in this case cannot buy

I think it's Evri that has complicated this. Royal Mail charge the same for the Channel Islands as the UK, whereas Evri charge Europe rates. And of course Evri is one of eBay's chosen couriers for Simple Delivery.
eBay are aware but not sure if they are doing anything about it. In the meantime ask sellers to either opt out of using Evri in their postage preferences or to put your ID on their exemption list to lift blocks. You can send them this link:
