buyer problem

Hi to ebay community I have a problem with an ebay sale dated sept 2024, the reason I am chasing this up is because of the high cost and the two year warranty on the sale item, the hearing aids have now developed a problem so obviously tried to contact the seller several times with no reply, tried to contact ebay help to see if they could get him to contact me, but there is no ebay dialog box that covers this type of ebay buyer problem, so any help would be appreciated below is a copy of my last email to the seller (explains things better )

Hi again is it just me or do you not reply to any ebay messages, funny when I made enquiries to buy hearing aids you were very quick to reply to me then, for the last week I have sent you numerous ebay messages regarding a problem about a pair of phonax audio P90 H/aids ( 3 beeps constantly ) you sold me last September I believe they are still under warranty, for some reason you have never replied to any messages, so I will give you 24 hours to reply to this message after that I will be contacting ebay support explain the situation and follow their instructions also may ask for a refund if the seller are not prepared to help with the faulty hearing aids.

Hope to hear from you soon John  ps  be aware we are financially not in a position to just throw away £800, and are beginning  to think are your h/aids are a scam

Order date:06 Sep, 2024Order total:£798.00, Order number:07-12040-46960

eBay's Money Back Guarantee is for 30 days, they do not get involved with warranties.

Any warranty offered by any seller is only ever going to be as good as your ability to enforce it and, as you've discovered, you can't.

This is a large amount of money, so you may wish to take legal advice here.

Is your seller a UK registered business seller? eBay state that:

  • Hearing aids may only be listed by sellers properly registered with the Health & Care Professions Council, and their registration number must be displayed in the listing

Taken from this eBay guidance page:

Thanks for your time to reply to my buyer problem, you have enlightened me with some new details I did not know, as I remember like a lot of sellers give the impression they are based in the uk but I am almost sure they are based in India, so things are looking a bit grim but I will not give up yet do some more checking around and see what I can find. Again thanks for your time John
