Why is seller rating showing as 0%

I'm considering a costly purchase but have just noticed the seller is listed as 'Private' and their seller rating shows 0%. They've been a member since 2014 and have lots of positive feedback comments, just no seller rating.

Should I let this put me off? I'm about to spend £350.

Also, the ebay note that comes up when I hover over the 0% rating says because the seller is listed as private, normal consumer protections may not apply. I've been using ebay for years and have never seen this before. Am I safe to go ahead with my purchase?

Why is seller rating showing as 0%

Feedback percentage totals are shown for the last 12 months, so if there's been no buying or selling activity for the past year, the percentage will be shown as 0%.

As soon as that eBayer receives a feedback for either buying or selling, it will go up to 100%.
