I have tried this before , got nowhere , so I am hoping with more detail somebody might be able to help ?
For many moons now I have been selling vinyl LPs on eBay. In the past I have often drafted listings in the app and then saved them , then I would then add to them on my laptop and finally I would schedule a date for the listing to start . I could do this on either my PC or phone app.
Sometimes, maybe a few days into the listing , if it wasn’t getting much traction e.g. , I might try tweaking things ; maybe the starting bid or buy it now price, or add in more detail about the item and/or condition , or add a promotion, or different photos … I could do this quite comfortably on the phone app and save it straight away with the revisions made. Happy days.
Now, before anyone gives me the stock answer , I am well aware that If there had been a bid or an offer made I would not be able to make and save such revisions - so this query does not relate to that …
Now, for about last 3 weeks, when I try to use the App to make such amendments what I see in the app is different!
The layout is different ; there is lots of html code visible and making alterations is more problematic . And, even if I do make an amendment I get an error message preventing my progress.
- it is along the lines of ‘“scheduled start date cannot be in the past “ - so , clearly something (many things) in the app has changed and the ‘algorithm’ (or whatever it is) is reading the date the item was originally scheduled for ; the date the item originally went live ! and thinks I am trying to relist the item from that past date - so:
What are the changes that have been made ?
When did they start from?
Where were they communicated ?
Is this a bug? And if so will it get fixed?
Will I ever be able to use the App ever again as I’ve grown used to ? (because , if I use my laptop to make changes I don’t get that error ! So it is clearly an app issue)
Why can’t I find any other sellers raising this issue? Maybe it is just me. ?
