Does anybody know what the issue is with vouchers not working currently? I have had an 8% one through work perks and also a 5% one emailed to me and neither allow payments to be made whilst active.
They are valid and I'm not purchasing from categories that ineligible. Customer service only offer the standard response of escalating but I raised this 7 days ago. It's costing me a fair amount, (roughly £25) because I've made several winning auction bids in the knowledge I had these offers. Now I'm having to delay payment and tell sellers they can either cancel or wait and take it up with eBay.
Has anybody got any information about this? How long can it take to resolve such an issue?
Can I complain to eBay and get them to pay me the lost discount direct because this is costing me money?

I'm afraid ebay don't cover coupons use etc,and they remain the right to cancel end them etc at any time.
They won't reimburse you for coupons.

Are you adding codes correctly?
They don't work with immediate payment.
On 1st page of ebay checkout, scroll to the bottom where you add code.
This has to be done before paying.

Yes, all added correctly. The discount shows up before confirming payment so must still be active however when you pay, the payment does not go through. (No issues with card/bank)

How frustrating - what's the point in putting an expiration date on it. And the best bit, you don't even know until you've won the auction and gone to pay for it. Looks like a couple of sellers will be getting rather hefty cancellation requests. I won't be paying a dime seeing as I bought under the false pretence of having a discount coupon.

I know you are saying this is an ebay fault, but be careful.
Private sellers can refuse cancellation request, business ones should agree to it, but not all do.
Sellers can cancel after 4 days, this gives you an unpaid strike.
2 of these in 12 months can restrict buying.
