Don't rely on the Preview option, it hasn't been working properly for years.
List your items, check and double check it's correct, send it live, it should be exactly how you listed the item. If not there is time to revise it.

Here is how to create a variation listing using the New Listing tool. 1. Scroll down to the pricing section and select edit all options to make sure the "Auction" format is turned off and "Buy it Now" is selected. 2. If you still do not see the variation option near the top of the form click on the 3 dots on the upper right hand side of the listing form and then select the settings gear icon and click on the variations toggle so it turns blue. 3.The Variation Attribute name cannot be the same as eBay's default item specifics. 4. You may also want to set up a calculated or flat shipping rule in your account settings so that your buyers pay the correct shipping for additional items when they purchase more than one from your listing.
