After many years only buying on eBay I finally decided to sell something but have been prevented by a message that says my VAT information is invalid or missing. Now I'm registered as an individual and not a business. I haven't sold anything for years and never came even remotely close to the HMRC VAT registration level. Needless to say, I am not registered with HMRC and have no VAT number so stuck.
How do I deal with this? I'd like to start selling the odd item but we're talking tens of GBP not even hundreds over the next year or so.
I've gone all over my account details and settings and cannot see anything about VAT.
