Unfair Negative Feedback with false allegations

Anyone else feeling let down by Ebay's lack of help with abusive buyers?

 

I've had my account for 21 years, have always gone out of my way to keep my 100% feedback rating yet today a buyer messaged me demanding that i either refund them or they leave negative feedback - essentially blackmail?

 

There was no reason to refund, the product was exactly as described in the listing and images and the buyer hadn't opened a returns request.

 

I reached out to customer services who advised me to report the buyer to which i did.

 

After responding to the buyer advising them that the item was as described and that didn't like the tone of their message they went ahead and left negative feedback with false allegations - stating i was abusive and threatening!

 

I then reported the feedback and completed for a feedback removal request - explained everything that had happened in regards to messages, blackmail, advised that everything was correct in the listing etc and requested that they view the message history.

 

A short while ago i had the following response from ebay (I have removed the item/buyer details):

 

"We reviewed your request to remove the feedback received for this transaction:

"Our decision
We reviewed the feedback, and can see that the buyer found that the item wasn't as described in the listing.

For this reason, the feedback was not removed. Just so you know, this feedback will not impact your seller performance level."

 

It appears that they have ignored everything that i have said, not bothered to look at the messages and allowed a buyer to blackmail, leave unfair negative feedback with false allegations - what's even worse is that they haven't even showed me where the listing was incorrect.

 

I am unable to appeal the decision, i am unable to report the buyer and customer services now will not help.

 

I am at the point of just closing down my account if they are allowing buyers to blackmail and make false allegations.
