I sold Item ID: 226998936249 and used eBay simple delivery to create a label with tracking YA216038313GB. However I realised that it was 48 hour delivery and the customer required 24-hour delivery. So I bought a label from royal mail tracking number MZ392705320GB.
Unfortunately this time I was not able to amend the tracking number provided by eBay with this 24 hour delivery tracking number. I can see from the royal mail website that the item has been delivered and would like to reflect this by updating the eBay tracking number with MZ392705320GB but it doesn't seem to be possible?
First mark the item as dispatched by opening the original Simple Delivery label. Then you should be able to change the tracking number via View Order Details > Postage > Track Package > dropdown arrow > Add Tracking. That has to be done on a desktop browser. Even without doing that the payment will be released anyway after 14 days.

Thank you for the reply and for your help. The majority of the time I use the eBay app, I can see on desktop that the item is marked as dispatched. Although I could not amend the tracking number, it takes me to a page that says the prepaid label is not able to be amended, I have now at least added the one I wanted to use as a second tracking number.
Money should be released within 24 hours, this applies to most sellers, no waiting for 14 days. Mine are usually released same day, before I have even posted.
