Trying to contact eBay by phone

Hi is there anyway in which I can get in contact with an agent on the phone because a robot can't answer my questions.  Because my buyer was delaying payment yesterday and I won't be able to send the item for a few weeks because I'm not currently in Wales and so I don't want to get negative feedback because I've already messaged my buyer but not had any response. Thank you.

Buyers do have four full days to pay.  If you sold the item yesterday, the buyer will have until 3rd September to pay.

If you can't send the item for 'a few weeks' then you should not have sold it.  You are in a difficult position and may have to cancel the sale which will get a defect on your account.

If you were contacted by an agent, what did you want to ask them?

Ebay CS won't help you with this.  Buyer's have 4 days to pay before you can cancel so you need to be prepared for them to take that long.  There is nothing on the listing that advises immediate payment (which you could have set up when listing), so the buyer is entitled to think you will send it within your stated dispatch time as long as they pay reasonably quickly.

It only sold yesterday.

You should also remove all your other items if you cannot msend them for a few weeks,if anyone buys and you cannot send and get negative feedback and account defects you are likely to get sanctions on your selling account

Re: Trying to contact eBay by phone

I told eBay that I am away and that I can only send the items when I get a chance to go back to Swansea but trying to get through to an agent from eBay is virtually impossible. 99.9% of the time eBay doesn't answer my questions unless I can speak to a human being and not a robot.

Re: Trying to contact eBay by phone

There is not anything that Customer Services can do.

You should have (still can) used the 'time away' setting to indicate to potential buyers that there will be a delay in posting items bought from you.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/selling-tools/time-away?id=5137&st=3&pos=1&query=Time%20Away&int...

You need to contact the buyer, cancel the sale and refund them in full.

Otherwise, wait for the buyer to open an 'item not received' case and then deal with it promptly.

You may get a defect on your account for the cancellarion and the buyer can still leave you negative feedback.

Re: Trying to contact eBay by phone

Telling ebay makes no difference. There is no bending of rules. Buyers have 4 days to pay, on day 5 you can cancel for non payment.

If paid, failing to dispatch within the time stated on your listing, will get you a defect.

Sellers are rated on defects, which can lead to suspension.

Re: Trying to contact eBay by phone

Use the link jckl1957 has posted and pause your listings, this can be for up to 30 days at least you wont get any more buyers and be in the same situation.

eBay wont be able to do anything about the sale which has already happened.
