I think you need to look at the listing again, I can see it says includes buyer protection £4.
I case you are out of touch buyers now have to pay for buyer protect which was previously free.
Ebay add 75p plus 4% to the bid price, although for some unknown reason they seem to add only 72p.

I think it's a rather unusual situation, in my experience at least.
The starting price was £80.00, and the first bid was £80.00. The same bidder then almost immediately topped it up with a second bid of £80.88.
When you placed your bid of £86.00, you won it for £82.00 as this was the minimum bid increment above the starting price of £80.00.
What puzzles me is why you didn't have to pay £82.08.? The answer seems to be that eBay allows bidders to increase the amount of their own bids by less than a full bid increment, but treats the difference as an invalid bid when determining the price to be paid by the winning bidder. Unless anyone knows otherwise or can explain it better?

I think it's just the way that the bidding history shows the amount less the BPF. If you add the BPF to those figures I think the increment works.
