Sold my item for £15 yet payout only £9.35

Hey guys!

I recently sold an item for £15.00. However, my payout for the item was only £9.35.

Any idea why that might be?

It is virtuslly impossible to work this out when YOU HAVE ALL THE DETAILS. Look at the payment information which shows what buyer paid and any deductions.

I have looked and there aren't any deductions anywhere!

Look in ORDERS in drop down menu select ORDERS PAID AND DISPATCHED, then in the+column headed orders, click on the order number. Scroll down on the page and everything is shown.

But that still doesn't show why I was only paid what I was instead of £15.

Ebay will have deducted fees for something you owed from the payment.  It need not necessarily relate to that order.

You need the payment breakdown, not the order breakdown.

Looks like you bought postage from eBay/ Packlink this and Buyer Protection Fee and Vat have been deducted from £19.42  it actually leaves £14.80

Right, so that means I've still been given the wrong amount of money.

Yep, you were paid seemingly,  20p too much !

If the above still doesn't clarify the breakdown,  contact eBay Customer Services,  their lines open in 5 minutes,  contact CS then, as there's more chance of Dublin answering.  They have access to your account, can see if any fees may be attributed to other sold items or not, and explain the breakdown for you.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid

Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays

9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.

Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.

As said I recommend contacting CS first thing in the morning as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

The OP used Simple Delivery which is why the order figures are right.   If they then also bought postage from ebay (for this or another sale), that would have been deducted from the payout.
