Delivery instead of posting

Hi

we originally were posting a large , heavy item and the buyer paid courier postage. We then decided to hand deliver instead, the buyer signed for the items upon delivery by myself however as it wasn't in the eBay system for delivery/collection, the buyer has no way to confirm receipt of goods to release the payment , please advise if there's a way round it?

There is no way round it now.  You will have to wait at least 14 days for payment, possibly longer,  depending on whether you have any other reasons to have a payment hold.

The advice in these circumstances is to cancel and relist with collection.
