Sold items.

I sold a large bundle of girls dresses (sold for £112). Items were dispatched via the postage method, tracking number provided, confirmed as shipped.

the package was sat at the sorting office for a week or so before I looked into it to try and give a delivery time to the seller - they could see the same as me re the delivery status.

the item was never sent to the buyer, still continued to be at the sorting office - so assumed lost.

i have kept in contact with the buyer and informed them I’ve done all I can to track, a dispute was put in be the seller as a lost parcel.

eBay stepped in, requesting me to refund the buyer - even though disputing that this is not my problem. But apparently it is, it’s my fault the parcel was lost. The buyer received a refund from eBay and now I’m being asked to pay back the full amount - how the hell is this even fair?!

I’ve contacted all the people that eBay said I needed too, but all saying the same, it’s down to the seller to reimburse! Has this happened to anyone else?

Never chase buyers, item may have been delivered  but not scanned,

Buyers will soon let you know if there is an issue.

If buyer opens ebay case, unless you can prove delivery,  not just posted, you have to refund.

You then use POP to claim from Evri.

I hope you checked compensation level, as often limited, but you still refund buyer the full amount.
