Sold after offer expired

Hi, I received an offer and I made a counter offer. The customer came to see the items and paid cash at the counter offer price but the offer had expired. I have now ended the listing but I want to record that they paid - how do I do that?

You can't do that now.   eBay have banned cash on collection so payment is supposed to only be online through them.

As it is not allowed to exchange contact details until paid for, it would be interesting to know how you managed this without ebay blocking messages.
