Simple delivery postal refund

Can anyone share some insight please, there’s a few things I’m trying to understand with ebay simple delivery. (Private seller account here)

1. First off how long can it take to receive a refund from postal label, its been 23 days as of yet since i filled the form for a refund.

2. I offer free postage and for this particular item i am speaking of, the dimensions is listed under small parcel. Normally prior to simple delivery if  the same customer would purchase 2 quantities on the same order I could generate one label of £3.38 and ship both together. Since simple delivery became the only way and automatically generates label. Is it normal for simple delivery to charge me £6.65 for one label if a customer purchase 2 quantities to the same address? Again the dimensions are still the same.

3. Today I received an order from a customer who purchased 2 different items to the same address, again both dimensions are listed under small parcel which cost £3.38 for one label normally. However This time ebay generated one label of £2.50 so i am very confused. I spoke to customer service and he was absolutely clueless and couldn’t share no light on this. His only explanation was this how simple delivery works. Anyhow i took the qr code to post office and they accepted as normal. So did i get undercharged for the same label or did ebay generate the wrong label dimensions reason its £2.50. Hope this makes sense.

Simple delivery postal refund

1. I believe it is 28 days.

2.  Combining postage has not been possible for ages. Buyers have to pay in full and seller refunds excess amount. This however leaves you if you combine with only one tracking number. I believe there was something in a recent announcement that now allows tracking to be marked on each item.

3. If accepted at Post Office should be OK, Royal Mail recently had a problem, now sorted so they say, so possibly PO may be accepting even wrong labels rather than sending sellers away.

I must admit what I know about Simple post is only what I have read, and ebay keeps making changes.  I do not use SD and never will, as it is not Simple and very inconvenient to use. I do not want frequent visits to PO and collections would not be practical.
