Simple Delivery parcel weight ranges

Does anyone know why Simple Delivery parcel weight ranges jump straight from 2kg to 15kg, when Royal Mail's own price chart includes a 10kg increment?

Posting a parcel that weighs less than 10kg using RM tracked services would be  £7.69 (24 hour) and £6.65 (48 hour) whereas a listing using Simple Delivery is going to charge the buyer a minimum of £10.55 for 48 hour, or 12.77 for 24 hour.

This unnecessary postage is going to put buyers off.  If they do pay, where is the extra money going? Into Ebay coffers presumably.

Thanks for following this up, that's good news. Probably worth while holding back lots that are less than <10kg in weight, as this will greatly reduce postage prices for buyers once it's sorted.
