Simple Delivery is completely inadequate

I am trying to list bike handlebars for sale

I have chosen the correct "handlebars" category
All bike handlebars are 70-100cm long

This is bigger than the largest parcel offered by simple delivery and there is now no way to use custom postage options instead

Who the hell thought this was a good idea? If it's going to be rammed down our throats at least disable it for categories where it makes no sense at all. There's no way to sell a bike handlebar now as a personal seller unless we snap them in half????

You're supposed to be able to opt out of SD for large items so you can choose your own postage.   It isn't working at the moment but see Rick's solution on here:

I wonder if ebay even bother testing things before they change them these days

Bonkers though that they dont realise an entire category of products is now unsellable by private sellers... either that or don't care
