Sent wrong items to 2 customers - how can i avoid refund and just return / resend

I managed to send 2 pairs of boots but to the wrong buyers. They both kindly sent them back to me, for me to then resend to the correct addresses. e-bay made me go via the refund / return option, but they don't want a refund and i just want to resend to the correct address. How do i stop the refund process? eBay is saying i need to refund or they will do it automatically.

These days it's very hard to do the logical thing without penalty.   As far as ebay is concerned it would be simpler to cancel/refund and relist for the buyers to buy and pay again.
