Hello
I am going around in circles trying to get official help from eBay.
I sent a small item I sold via tracked Royal Mail and simple delivery. The item delivered was completely different - a large coat. I can only assume the label I saw being stuck on my Jiffy bag came off at some point was was attached to something else instead - I definitely did not send that coat, and the seller provided a photo with my address on it and the right tracking number.
Anyway. The buyer opened a case with eBay and it’s been resolved. I assume the buyer got their refund. I still seem to have the funds - so I’ve banked them.
Is that it? Do eBay now chase Royal Mail for the money? Do I need to do anything else? Will eBay come begging at my door for a refund?
For some reason there is no longer an option to call eBay to ask for help and the so called automated assistant is stuck greyed out on an old conversation. (Both on iPad Safari and iPad app versions).

With Simple Delivery you are protected if the item is lost/damaged in transit. That means ebay will pay the refund, not you, when the buyer opens a claim.

So that’s it then? Take the money and run?1. Excellent. First time I’ve found anything about Simple Delivery actually simple…

Yes, the one good thing about it.
