Selling and Refunds

Afternoon All

So I have sold a faulty item for parts only. The item condition was set to "For Parts Only not Working" within the listing. I reiterated this within the listing description once again. The photos indicated that the item partially worked but not correctly. Therefore I imagined whoever bought it would only use it for parts only as I stated.

So I sold the item and now the buyer has submitted a refund request because it doesn't work!!!!! I'm slowly staring to lose the will to live, with some members of the human race. As gesture, I offered a partial refund and the buyer declined. However, I believe the problem is the buyer just did not read the description clearly and failed to ask the right questions.

I'm not prepared to issue a full refund and the returns request is still outstanding. The buyer is a business on ebay and I worry ebay will rule in their favour due to that fact.

Can I please have your thoughts.

Selling and Refunds

I would guess you used AI for the description, and that contradicts what you say.

If you do not accept return and buyer escalates, ebay will almost certainly, find in favour of the buyer, and in addition to having to refund, you get damaging defect.

If you use AI you must edit so that it does not give the impression of working,  whatever else you have said.

Thanks John

I did use AI. However at the bottom of the AI description I did state the item was for parts only.
