Seller performance level

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew what to do in regards to our seller performance level. It has been below standard since November due to some cancellations made on our end due to lack of stock, it dropped our defect rate down to 3.61%. 12 out of 332 orders have amounted to this 3.36%, however to get out of this below seller rating we will need to get back up to a 2% defect rate which means we need an additional 200+ orders without any issues, which is understandable.

Anyway, my issue is that we have had steady sales since November, with no defects or issues, however our rating has not budged, as of this week Ebay has actually restricted our listings, ultimately making it harder for us to increase sales and get out of this rating. Does anyone have any suggestions on what we can do to get out of this, as it seems like there is no improvement and only more problems and restrictions being put in place as time progresses.

Many thanks 🙂

Just to add to this, both our delivery rate and cases closed are rated as Ebay top rated seller, it is only our defect rate we are having issues with. 🙂

When defect rate is above 2% it is very difficult to improve, as even if number of sales stay  at usual level, total number will remain the same as new sales only match those over a year old dropping out of equation.

To actually improve the  % you need something like twice as many sales as made in similar period of last year. If you now have a restriction on selling that just makes your defect % increase with a drop in sales, and it will not improve until some or all defects, are out of the calculation, in other words it could last for 12 months.

Thankyou for your reply! So after 12 months do these defects effectively get written off? Come November should we be back out of below standard?

Thanks.
