Seller asks for collection code

I have won a bid and paid the money for the item. I then sent the seller a message asking for details of where to pick the large item up from.

He/she messaged me back asking for the Collection Code. Is this correct procedure? or should I only exchange code when collecting the item?

Yes, the code should go with you when you go to collect the item,then the seller can either scan it or enter it manually into the order details so it shows as collected and the seller gets paid.

Reply to the seller and tell them you will supply the code when you come to collect the item and have inspected it.
