Seller agreed to refund for faulty item - but won't now issue refund

A UK seller sent me a faulty item (I sent independent evidence that the item electronics did not work). The seller agreed to refund in full if I sent the item back - I did so at, my expense (by then it was outside the 30day period). I have proof from Royal Mail the seller received the item back. I've chased the seller to make the refund but they won't now even reply to me. They are still a live seller on Ebay (as of today 3rd Oct '25). I've spent a couple of hours today trying to find a way to ask Ebay to step in...but I can't find a channel/link for a return/refund claim outside of standard 30 day terms.  Any one got an idea how I can progress this with Ebay's help. The item was a motorise valve for our central heating systems, cost was £39.50 and postage was £8.64. Thanks.

As it is outside of ebays 30 day MBG, they won't help.

Ask your payment provider for assistance.

Thanks.

Just for future...do Ebay still have a kind of complaints route where sellers are still selling the item on Ebay ?

The only complaint you can make through ebay is by opening case and feedback.

You have 60 days to leave feedback.

If it was UK business, contact citizens advice.
