Royal Mail scanned pick-up incorrectly

Hello

Royal Mail scanned my item incorrectly and marked it as ‘item wasn’t available for pick-up’ even though they took the item from me. I contacted Royal Mail and they confirmed the above and assured me it will still be delivered.

Because I now have no tracking, if the item is delivered, can the buyer manually mark it as delivered or will the eBays system think it’s undelivered and return the fund to the buyer

Ebay won't refund the buyer.

You will be paid 14 days after the transaction (so on day 15) if the tracking is not updated to show delivered.

I would still see if you can add the tracking number manually to the sold item.  Hopefully, even though it wasn't scanned when collected, it will be scanned at delivery.

If you have any problems with non-delivery, it's probably best to contact RM and get them to update the tracking so it shows that the item was collected.

They take a very long time to answer the phone but are very helpful when you eventually get through.
