Royal Mail - Parcel Not moving

I don't sell much; however, one item I've sold recently hasn't arrived. I paid for Royal Mail Tracked 48. It will be a week since dispatch this Monday. The buyer isn't happy.

I've had a look around for help articles on how to deal with this. Can anyone advise please. My account is in good standing; it would be a shame for this to ruin things.

Cheers

Ian

One order not arriving will not have a negative effect on your account as long as you handle it properly.

First of all, if you haven't already, check the tracking on the Royal Mail website.

Then, ask the buyer to open an 'item not received' case.

Edit

It looks as if you posted with Simple Delivery (label provided by Ebay although you paid?) so, in the event of such a claim, Ebay will deal with it so you won't need to refund the buyer.

After the estimated delivery date ask the buyer to open a "not received" case on ebay.   Assuming simple delivery was used ebay will issue the refund themselves and you keep the payment.  Your account will be unharmed.
