I'm afraid you will not be able to switch cases. If you close it you will not be able to open another.
After closing the case though, you could then try your payment provider if you have received a faulty item.
Or, does the seller accept returns? You can still return it for a full refund, but you would need to pay for that fully tracked postage, and there'd be nothing to enforce the seller to repay you that postage cost.
