Return dispute

Hi, I need help urgently. The seller sent me a return label and insisted the item be collected on a Friday, even though I explained I couldn’t take time off work and requested a weekend collection. They wouldn’t work with me on that, so I followed their request, printed the label, left the item at my door, and took a photo — but it has since been stolen. The seller is now taking no responsibility.

I’ve spoken to two eBay agents about this already. The last one said they would look into it and get back to me, but I’ve heard nothing since. I honestly don’t know where to go with this now. I need someone to step in and help resolve it properly.

thank you

I don't think Ebay will be able to help you with this.

They would only expect a seller to refund when there was evidence of the item being returned.

As the item was stolen from your property, you may be able to claim through your home contents insurance, although I doubt they will consider a claim for property left in an insecure area.
