My buyer asked for a return and refund stating device faulty. After speaking to buyer he has agreed the device is working and he was not following operating instructions and he wants to keep the device. The device was sold for £445 and I offered him £50 to compensate him for the issues he has had operating the device even though it was not the fault of the device and he agreed to end the ‘return case’ yesterday.
The eBay deadline for resolution is Tuesday and this morning he still has not ended the ‘return case’. Can I use the ‘partial refund and buyer keeps the item’ tab to pay him the agreed £50 and resolve the case?

You can certainly offer that through the case.
It won't close the case until the buyer accepts the offer.
