Restart business account selling

want to restart selling on my account after a long absence with ill health, have tried to register for managed payments as it has been a few years, and get nowhere with message saying cannot verify

I no longer have business bank account as i am one of the ones barclays closed without notification, so at present do not have a business bank account

can i register a private bank account or does it need to be a business bank account?

also, if i do need to any recommendations, as the main high street ones are becoming known for doing what barclays did to me

thank you

Bank account must match ebay business account, I.e. business bank account.

Re: Restart business account selling

You can use a personal bank account with an ebay business account. What has to match is the name of the owner of the ebay account and the name on the bank account. So if, for example, you are a sole trader and the ebay account is registered to your personal name then a personal bank account in your name would match. This is what I do.

If you go to the Business Information page here, Business Information then it's the bottom section, Owner's Details, which is the name that has to match the bank account. Business Name in the Business Details section above doesn't have to match the bank account. You can call your business any name you want there.

Re: Restart business account selling

Just to add, the name has to match exactly. So if, for example, your bank account includes your middle name then you need to make sure your ebay account owner section also uses the middle name. OH had to change the ebay account owner name to first and middle initials instead of first name as the bank account only uses initials.
