Hi,
I recently purchased an item from someone who overcharged a large amount on the postage. They sold the item for very little and I assume tried to make it back on the post (self arranged, not Simple Shipping). I queried it and they sent a partial refund although they were clearly not happy about it after a long rant to imply "that's tough". They then asked for positive feedback in a less than friendly way but I thought since they'd given the partial refund, I would leave it.
After a week or so, I noticed the item (which I'd vaguely looked at) which had been described as "mint condition" was actually visually damaged. The colour also didn't match the saturation of the photo (although I'd previously put this down to either screen differences, camera error on their part or them cheekily making it look less washed out and more desirable but I let it slip). The last factor was that the measurements of the item differed by several inches.
I politely contacted them to make sure it was the correct/same item as listed and not a duplicate or variation. I didn't ask for or want a refund/return, just to clarify. I was bombarded with a tirade of moaning, ranting, customer blaming and "oh woe is me".
Due to this petty behaviour and to be honest, an all round unhappy experience, I wondered if it was possible to request eBay to remove my positive feedback? I doubt they'll let me alter it, so removal would be better than nothing since the seller is so rude, obnoxious and can't be wrong as well as clearly incompetent when it comes to listing things.
Any advice is appreciated and I guess it may be too late now the review is left. Worth a try! Thanks.

Thank you for reading my situation and your answer. That's a damn shame but at least I know. Seems silly that negative feedback can be removed but not positive but then there's a lot of silly things about eBay! Thanks again.

You can add a follow up under the positive.

I couldn't find a way to do that, unless it can't be accessed on a mobile phone maybe? I wondered if you could only add a follow up comment under neutral or negative feedback, or perhaps you can only do it as a response to feedback you've received yourself as opposed to feedback left?

Nope, you can leave a follow up to a positive feedback you have left. The link is in blue to the right of the feedback..... ' Follow Up'.
Perhaps change devices / browser? On a laptop /PC and Chrome that combo seems to work best, the option is there.

Thanks, it could just be my mobile then! I tried with the "desktop site" option on my phone but didn't have any luck. I'll try with the laptop later and follow your advice.

Yep those mobiles / app thingys are sadly lacking in all options you need on eBay ! 🤔
Laptop + Chrome = 🤗

Hi again,
Unfortunately I can't see it anywhere on the laptop using Chrome either. Just to clarify, I'm asking about removing/altering or in this case, adding a follow up comment to feedback "left" as a "buyer" not as a seller. I think you can do it if you've received feedback (possibly as a buyer or seller) but not if you have left it as a buyer.
