I bought an item, then the seller tells me I have to wait 14 days for the funds to be released before they can send item.... Unless I contact ebay to hurry it up. (the seller has very good reviews/ratings).

Is it possible for me to do this?

Am I right to feel nervous?

All help gratefully received!

They seem to be talking about ebay's new managed delivery/payments but are confused. If the seller sends the item untracked they have to wait 14 days for the money to be released. If they send it tracked it will be released after the tracked shows delivery. The money won't be released if the item is not dispatched. They should send it asap after payment received.

The sooner the seller posts the sooner they will get paid.

If they use a tracked post the item will be released in 2 days once showing as delivered.

Untracked and they have to wait 14 days for payment, "Once posted out".
