Refund help

I won an item via eBay bidding. I have paid for it through Pay pal with buyer protection as standard. The seller has provided a tracking number as unrecognised (fake). I have asked for a refund. The seller responded with a silly excuse that doesn’t make sense. EBay is not allowing to move forward with my request for refund as it has a tracking number provided. EBay system is not going further to investigate the tracking number to be genuine or fake. How do I resolve this situation and get my money back?

Refund help

Is this a Royal Mail posted item?  Use that tracking to go on their website ,or the courier's website, to see the status of your item.

If it states tracking not recognised,  then one day after your item's last estimated date for delivery open a case for item not received.

An un recognised tracking should not show delivery , after 3 days if not refunded escalate the case and eBay step in and force the refund.
