Hi - I contacted ebay about a Amp I brought for £295, when I received the Amp it was faulty, I could not get it to work via my computer system, normally its just plug it into a HDMI socket and away you go. This was not the case with this AMP. I was not 100% what to put on the drop down menu for returns and put damaged, I could not change it on ebay returns website, its like they are living in the dark ages and dont know how to help there customers, in fact the amp, it was Faulty, I told the seller he tried to dispute there is nothing wrong with it when there obviously is because I since have another AMP and it works fine, without Fuss. Ebay provided me with a returns Label that turns out to be for sellers only as I cant return the AMP using parcel force without a sellers account ... you require a seller account to post it back. They said Keep the item and we HAVE REFUNDED IT, they obviously have not so I called ebay a 4th time, this time I am told to wait another 5 days so they can refund the item. I was given a Ref Number and told to wait. I am sceptical and disappointed by this whole event. I cant believe it. Ebay cant give me a straight answer, ebay doesn't know what it is doing. Now I have opened a case on Paypal to see if I can get a refund that way as I have buyers protection, maybe paypal will be professional enough to help me. I just want to return the item and get my money back, why is it such a problem for ebay? Can anyone help with advise?

PayPal will be cross that there's already an eBay claim open for the same transaction, so that should close any time soon.
I don't understand this bit though:

Do you have a message from eBay saying that you were going to get a full refund and could keep the item?
Can you copy and paste the main body of text featuring that message, leaving out any personal info, along with the message you received going back on that deal?
To clarify, there is not such returns label that is for seller use label. Labels are not issued to sellers. A postage label is just that, and anyone can use it.

It sounds as if ebay have processed the refund but it is still in the system.
If so, opening a PayPal case was the wrong thing to do as it could be seen as a fraudulent claim and may even delay the refund further.
What is the status against your order and did you use Paypal funds or just pay through PayPal?

As you appear to have opened a paypal case before closing ebay case you might find both cases will close. You cannot make two claims at the same time.
I cannot see why you did not just open a not as described case with ebay in the first place, there is no need for phone calls, snd if seller did not respond by providing a return label within 3 days escalate to ebay and you would have had your refund.

Hello
Thank you for your reply. I used Paypal to purchase the item.
Kind Regards
Paul
But did you use funds in your PayPal account, or just use PayPal as a payment conduit?
What does it say against the ebay purchase? Does it say refunded?
