Purchased Item not arrived

Hi I purchased an item that has not arrived opened a report but seller not responding by deadline of yesterday 

how do I ask eBay to step in? Or will they do that automatically ?

The option to escalate it to ebay will appear after 3 complete working days.   So when that time has passed go to the case, click on Case Details > Respond to Case > Escalate This Case > Submit.
