Promoted listings priorty campaign

Hi all

So a couple of days ago I saw a banner promoting the promoted listing 'priority' campaign. It said 50% off ad fees and that I had £360 in credit. I thought great, I can run it, see how it goes and then stop it when i reach the credit limit if I don't like it.

I started the process, chose my ad spend limit ( the recommended £62 a day), highlighted all my stock and clicked launch. This was at lunchtime Wednesday. I had to turn it off yesterday evening after less that a day and a half i had already been charged £260 fees and Wednesdays £130 was taken from my account......eh WHAT?? My ad limit was £62 a day and i made sure to not click the "shall we increase it if your ROAS goes beyond x amount'. Why did it keep running without limit and wheres this £360 credit ebay said i had? This seems crazy, charging me hundreds of pounds and i've actually lost £116 after deducting sales from it. Any thoughts or has anyone had experience of this and how to fix it? I was on the phone to customer service last night for an hour and he had no idea what i was talking about and was less that zero help.

Without reading it all, it does say 50% off so if fees would have been £260, it seems reasonable to expect to pay £130.

My impression would be that up to £720 in fees would be discounted by 50%.

Re: Promoted listings priorty campaign

That seems like a logical explanation but doesn’t explain my £360 credit not applying or if more money is lifted today. The cash that was taken yesterday was Wednesday’s full charge so I’m bracing myself for Thursday’s ad fees to apply today. Yesterdays was taken early afternoon so I’m not looking forward to 2pm today
