Price

Hello, I'd like to understand why the price shown in the listing is never the same as the one I set when I created the listing.

Because you are using a private account to sell your brand new, multiple items, Ebay add a Buyer Protection Fee of 4% + 75p to each item.

They collect and retain this fee from the buyer.

If you were correctly registered as a business seller, this fee would not be added to your items.

Re: Price

Just to help you out here,  selling Brand New items you do need a Business account,  the one you are own now,  a Private account , is one for selling unwanted used items,  say a garage / attic/ wardrobe clear out.

This shows you how to transfer this Private account to a Business account,  then you'll be correctly registered with eBay.

  1. Go to Account settings in My eBay.
  2. Select Personal information
  3. Select Edit next to Account type. You may be asked to sign in again.
  4. Select Confirm to upgrade to a Business account.
  5. Specify whether you operate your business as a legal entity or as a sole proprietor and select Continue.
  6. On the following page, enter your business information such as name, contact information, and returns policy. Then select Save.

Probably best to use a PC / laptop for this,  and not the app or mobile browser.  Chrome seems to work best on eBay.

You can have both Private and Business accounts  just need a  separate email and different username ID.
