Posted item returned to me by USA post as undeliverable.

I posted a small value item (£3.50) to USA , post was £3.40 , item returned back to me by USA postal service with sticker attached "Return to sender as undeliverable as addressed and unable to forward"

Buyer has confirmed the address as correct but buyer will not question USA mail as to any clue why not deliverable as he cant be bothered with the fuss.

Buyer has asked me to send again at my full expense or give full refund--I suggested half way and refund the value of the item but not post as I had done everything by the book----looking for some sort of advice and help.

Re: Posted item returned to me by USA post as undeliverable.

If buyer opens a not received case, then you would end up refunding in full, whether or not you receive the returned item.

There should be no reason for you to repost, the same thing could happen again.

I can only suggest you cancel sale using reason “problem with address” which would make a full refund and with luck you should get your item back.

Returns of any sort will always leave seller out of pocket, this is a risk you run by selling on ebay.

Re: Posted item returned to me by USA post as undeliverable.

Just noticed a slight variation  in post code / zip code wont use the correct codes but ebay stated

AB12314-2345 buyer confirmed as AB12314 --wonder if this would be enough variance for USA mail to return as UNDELIVERABLE AS ADDRESSED ?
