Why am I getting charged for a small parcel at £3.35 when the buyer has paid for a large letter at £1.55. The item is only large letter size. That is what I chose. I don’t understand. Help please…

Best advice then would be to take it to the Post Office, buy a stamp and send it with proof of posting.
Ebay are saying you need to buy a parcel label because that is what their algorithm would suggest for an item of clothing.
So, don't buy your postage from Ebay. You don't have to.
I send my smaller items in a padded envelope with a Large Letter stamp.

How are you buying postage? As you quote £1.55 that is what buyer pays, if you got it wrong then you still have to honour the sale.
It does not appear that you are having to use Simple Postage, as you would not be able to offer £1.55.
Looking at the item, I doubt it would go as a large letter.

I didn’t get the postage wrong - it’s large letter and very light
