Post Office not accepting QR/codes for sending.

I have used Evri before, but not for Ebay items, nor through the new Simple Postage function. I took screenshots of the QR and other code on the understanding they would use this to generate a postage label. As backup I printed off the downloaded label on my shakey, old printed which prints everything misakigned, so both the barcode and QR were jagged, though fortunately the address was legible.

Fortunately this managed to scan and was accepted, as I was told I needed the pre-printed label and a code, or QR was not sufficient. I have sent packes, all returns, successfully in the past using a QR code only (from the same PO, can't recall if it was Evri or a different courier though).

Am I going to have to invest in a new printer or is the PO giving me the runaround here?

Should a scanned code be sufficient?

A QR code should be able to be scanned by the Post Office,no need for it to be printed
