Payment

How can I access my payment for goods sold through ebay?  I no longer have my business account so my only bank account is a joint account which eBay say is no good. I then tried to buy an item using my credit towards it but that doesn't work either. Basically my money is sitting in ebay account.

Have you registered for eBay's Managed Payments?

See here:

You need to provide eBay with details of a bank account and have this account verified.  The usual method here, is for eBay to send 2 micro deposits into that nominated bank account for you to receive,  and confirm to eBay.

Once this is completed,  you will be able to list items for sale,  and receive payouts from those sales.

This will show you how to register for eBay's Managed Payments.

If there is an issue with the registration contact eBay Customer Services,  who have full access to your account,  and can see where the issue lies and explain the steps you now need to take.

Contact them this way.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays

Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.

I recommend contacting CS first thing in the morning as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

They say that I have to open a new bank account in my name only. They won't
accept a joint account.

Then,  that is what you must do.

Many sellers have opened a new and separate bank account to sell eBay items.  You then need to register that new account with eBay's Managed Payments,  if you wish to continue to sell on eBay.
