Sold item and sent and delivered Friday mid-day all happy and positive feedback left both ways I've waited the 2days from delivery also been on chat was told wait.. still nothing chat again was told payment been manually released and told wait 24 hrs joke.. then phoned them no point as couldn't understand anything they said overseas 😡 even asked what time zone I'm in seriously but told wait few more hours and still nothing still saying 17th pending so bloody annoying it's our money and they hold it long as they want .. I won't be selling on eBay again waiting for our own money is ridiculous.. eBay sort it out!! Your gonna lose alot of customers with this system it's broken and rubbish PayPal better

There is a new ruling that payment is released within 24 hours  of the buyer receiving the item,  but it is with conditions, that is,  your selling account has to have had £150 of sales or more in the last 5 years,  and no defects on your account for the last 12 months.

You do not meet those T & C's,  and it looks like this is either your first sale or you have returned to selling after a long break.  Either way sudden selling activity raises red flags to eBay as the account could be showing hacking,  so for security reasons your initial payments will be held for a longer period until eBay is satisfied the real owner is using the account for selling.  It's an effective security measure.

The question the CS agent asked about which time zone you are in was not silly, the main base is in the Philippines, if you are calling late afternoon here, they cannot say wait 2 hours, as there in the Philippines it may be the very early hours of the morning.  Unreasonable to see money appear say at 3 a.m.

Appreciate your reply and I have had item selling just haven't sold and been on eBay while just not sold but have bought stuff aswell plus the date stated was 17th August which is 2 days after confirmation of delivery from eBay yodel and buyer so all and buyer is happy as good communication with him.

But being told different things and it's been released manually over call and second was told to wait few more hours which I have this was yesterday and still showing pending and says 17th still just checked  balance but now 18th date with 17th showing I was told I would get it as they released it

The new 24 hour release of funds is no longer connected to delivery.

Payments are made within 24 hours of the buyer paying.

So, I have items I sold yesterday, they were paid for yesterday evening and I plan to post them today.

The money for all yesterday's sales was in my cleared funds this morning and is already in my bank account!  It's almost like 'the good old days'!

Private sellers with a strong sales history will receive their funds in their eBay balance typically within 24 hours of the buyer's payment, unless subject to a hold.
